I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves.
Lo yihye-lecha elohim acherim al-panai
You shall have no other gods before Me.

of what is in the heavens above, or what is on the earth beneath
Va'asher bamayim mitachat la'arets
or what is in the waters beneath the earth.
Lo-tishtachve lahem velo ta'ovdem
You shall not bow down to them or serve them,
Ki anochi Adonai elohecha el kana
for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God,
Poked avon avot al-banim al-shileshim ve'al-ribe'im lesone'ai
holding the guilt of the fathers against the children, to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me,
and doing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Lo tisa et-shem-Adonai elohecha lashav
You shall not take up the name of the LORD your God in vain,

Ki lo yenake Adonai et asher-yisa et-shemo lashav
for the LORD will not hold guiltless the one who takes up His name in vain.
Zachor et-yom haShabbat lekadesho
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Veyom hashevi'i Shabbat l'Adonai elohecha
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God;

Lo-ta'ase chol-melacha ata uvincha-uvitecha avdecha va'amatecha uvhemtecha
you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or female servant, or your animals,
Vegerecha asher bish'arecha
or the stranger who is within your gates.
Ki sheshet-yamim asa Adonai et-hashamayim ve'et-ha'arets et-hayam ve'et-kol-asher-bam
For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them,
Vayanach bayom hashevi'i
and He rested on the seventh day;
Al-ken berach Adonai et-yom haShabbat vaykadeshehu
therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
