How the series fits together
Books 1 and 2 teach the mechanics: writing every letter (print and cursive), then reading with vowels, one sound at a time. Book 4 gives you the 500 everyday words and 160 phrases you will use first. Book 3 puts the reading to use at the Shabbat table. Book 5 is a complete Passover Haggadah with transliteration, and Book 6 takes you into the Hebrew Bible itself, fourteen famous passages line by line. Books 1–4 are also available as one volume.
